Dearest Peggy and family,
I am so sorry to hear of Peggy's passing. The years I spent at Sarah Lawrence working with Peggy and us trying to stay out of trouble with Heather were truly enjoyable. We redheads loved to drive her crazy! We had such good giggles together. I know she was an outstanding mother and grandmother. I think of her often. May she rest in everlasting peace. Carol

Peggy and I enjoyed a remarkable friendship and partnership. It began the first day I stepped on campus at Sarah Lawrence College. She made it perfectly clear that while I may consider myself Scottish, I would always be Irish in her eyes because Ireland existed before any other place on earth!
Peggy’s ability to reach out to our students and their families is legendary. Students would drop by to say hello, share accomplishments, or just sit in the rocking chair next to her desk. She was caring and comforting when it was needed. She was straightforward and to the point with everyone. I especially remember her closing my door when she felt I was overwhelmed or just simply needed a break. She just knew. I called her “Radar” so many times in our 20 plus years together. I would call out for some document or file and she would be already standing there with whatever it was I needed.
Dear Leahy – Dunne – McKenna family, know we have you in our prayers. We send you comfort and strength as you adjust to this new life without her. Her body may be gone but her spirit lives on in all of us. Ar dheis Dé go raidh a nam, Peggy Ann.
