Joseph Pryor passed away peacefully in his sleep on March 8, 2017. He was the son of Patrick Pryor and Bridget Farrell. Joe was born on March 12, 1927 in New York City and was the youngest of three sons. His brothers Emmet and Edward predeceased him. Joe married Mary McAllister on October 15, 1949 in the Church of the Ascension in New York and had six children: Maureen ( Joseph Montanero); Anne (Steven Ackerman); Dennis ( Holly Turner); Eileen ( Daniel McGann); Stephen (Nancy Quaranta); Michael (Evelyn Te). His is survived by twelve loving grandchildren: Patrick Nolan; Eileen Picker; Erin and Alana Ackerman; Ian and Aidan Pryor; Sarah and Caroline McGann; Bridgette, Kelly, Sean and Kaitlyn Pryor, and four great grandchildren, with number five due in May. Joe had been an estimator and project manager with Texas Gulf Inc., Olin Corporation and A.O. Smith. Joe will be missed by all who knew and loved him. A celebration of his life will be held at Graham Funeral Home, Rye, NY on Saturday March 11, 4-7pm and Sunday March 12, 2-5pm. A Mass of the Christian Burial will take place at the Church of the Resurrection at 10am on Monday March 13, 2017. Interment will follow the mass at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Valhalla, New York.
