I was just thinking of this man, randomly I must admit. I didn't get to know him very well. When I was a kid I lived with my dad in the same complex as Mark in Malibu about 20 years ago. We met and he introduced me to SOCOM on his playstation game set. It was pretty cool. He also saw that I was an active kid, so he gave a lacrosse stick and some balls. Kept me busy. I never pursued lacrosse, but I'll never forget the kindness displayed. Sad to see that he passed a few years ago. Rest easy Mark, and thanks for everything.

We are heartbroken at the loss of Mark. Mark coached our four sons and he is an important part of our family legacy. He had a significant impact on the lives of many. Mark loved lacrosse and more importantly he loved those who played it . He gave sacrificially of himself to help many young men. We mourn his loss.

Please accept my deepest condolences for you and your family at this difficult time. I knew Mark as shipmates on the USS Simpson FFG-56. He was on from 1989 till 1992 and I was onboard from 1990 to 1994. He was a beloved member of the crew and was loved by all. His causal manner and easy going personality made him a favorite to hang around with on the ship and especially when off enjoying liberty in the dozens of port of calls we visited together.
He will never be forgotten by the crew members who served with him.
Sincerely,
Glen W. Carll GSM2 (Engineering Dept)
