Obituary of Maureen Nicoletti

Please share a memory of Maureen to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Maureen Nicoletti, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully. Known for her loving, kind, and thoughtful nature, Maureen was born on July 24, 1944, in Yonkers, NY, and lived a life filled with love, hard work, and dedication to her family.

Maureen was born and raised in Yonkers, NY. She was a graduate of Yonkers High School, class of 1962. Her strong work ethic was evident in her role as a housekeeper at the Marriott Hotel, where she diligently served for many years. Despite the demands of her job, Maureen never let it come in the way of her primary role as a devoted mother to her two sons.

Her family was her pride and joy. She is survived by her loving sons, Joseph Nicoletti and his wife, Stephanie, of Stamford, CT, and Rocco Nicoletti of Wilton, CT. Maureen was a loving grandmother to Ava, Emma, and Jack Nicoletti, who brought immense smiles, joy and laughter into her life. Her siblings, Arthur Shear and his wife, Valerie, of Florida, and Kathleen Culos and her husband, Tom, of Florida, will remember her fondly as a caring sister who always had a huge heart and compassionate nature.

More than anything, Maureen was known to have a great memory, never forgetting a birthday or significant event in the lives of her friends, family, and extended family. Her thoughtfulness extended beyond her immediate circle as she always found ways to brighten someone's day, either with a kind word or a thoughtful gesture.

The family will receive friends at the Graham Funeral Home in Rye, NY on Thursday September 14, 2023 from 3:00-7:00 PM.  A religious service will be held at 6:15 PM at the funeral home.
