Richard A. Russo, 79, devoted spouse and loving father of Port Chester, New York, and Fort Lauderdale, Florida, passed away on September 4, 2023. Richard was born in New York City to Ann and Louis Russo. He attended New York University and began his career on Wall Street at Salomon Brothers. He left finance to pursue his love of cars and went on to open three dealer franchises in Westchester County. 
 
Richard is survived by his wife of 56 years, Dana, and his children Nicole (Thomas) Steinthal and Stephanie (Mario) DiLeo, and five grandchildren TJ, Daisy, Peyton, Luke, and Julian. He also leaves his sister Stephanie (Gary) Thiel, two nieces Lori (Chris) Mascetta, Lisa (Coleman) Lawrence, and one nephew, Louis Thiel.
 
He cherished his life with his wife, two daughters, sons-in-law, and adoring grandchildren. He was an avid supporter of many local charities and organizations, such as Covenant House, Holy Rosary Church, Toys For Tots, Convent of the Sacred Heart, Boston College, and Syracuse University.
 
Richard will be fondly remembered as a very generous dependable friend with a deep faith in God and devotion to family. 
 
There will be a Mass of Christian Burial and Celebration of Life at Resurrection Church in Rye, NY on Saturday, September 9 at 10 a.m. The Mass will be livestreamed for those who can not attend in person.  Please click here to view the livestream.
