Obituary of Clinton W Phy

Rye, NY

Clinton Wesley Phy passed away at his home peacefully in his sleep on July 25, 2023.

He was born May, 26 1934 and was raised in Maryland before moving to Rye, NY with his family when he was 15 years old. He remained a Rye resident for the rest of his life.

He graduated from Rye High School in 1952. This is where he met his future wife, the late Geraldine Kelley Phy, the love of his life.

In addition to his family, Clint loved fishing on Nantucket with the October Boys, singing out loud (he had a wonderful voice), country music, especially Willie Nelson, Sunday brunch at the bar at Kelly’s, and his beloved wife Geri.

Clinton is predeceased by his wife Geraldine Kelly Phy, his brother in law Lee Keck and nephew David Keck. He is survived by his siblings Lester (Lori) Phy, Dena Keck, Sarah (Cliff) Kinney. Clint's daughter Lizzie Phy-Collins and her partner Robert Rogers and her children; Riefe (Meredith), Harrison (Dominique), and Lacey. His sons Andrew Phy and Charlie Phy (Lynne) and their children Christiane and Kelley, nieces and nephews and children.

The family will receive friends at the Graham Funeral Home on Sunday July 30, 2023 from 4-6 PM.  A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday July 31, 2023 at 10 AM at the Church of the Resurrection.  The Mass will be livestreamed for those who cannot attend in person.  To view the livestream, please click here.
