Obituary of Patricia Ann Jurs

After fighting the good fight against cancer for many years, Patty died peacefully at home in Bluffton, SC on April 20, 2023.  She was predeceased by her parents Mary Lou and George Jurs.  She is survived by her sister Deborah Jurs.  Pat was born in Rye, NY and graduated from Resurrection Grammar School and The Academy of the Resurrection in 1973.

After graduating from The Berkeley College in White Plains, NY, she held several corporate positions, however she found a more fulfilling career as a home healthcare aide.  This more closely aligned with Patty’s values and personality.  She provided comfort and care to many.  After her retirement, in 2021, Patty relocated to Bluffton, SC.  

Pat will always be remembered for her kindness, generosity, quiet wit, love of her family, the Yankees, NASCAR and a passion for Christmas.  She showed us how to be more thoughtful and generous with others.  May her light shine bright.  

A private memorial service will be held in Hilton Head, SC.  Funeral and burial services will be held at The Church of the Resurrection on Monday, May 8, 2023 at 10:00 AM.
