Obituary of Vera Lamont Gil Senft

Vera Lamont Gil Senft was born and raised in Rye, NY, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2016. She was 89 years old. Vera was born on April 9, 1926 and her family originated from Scotland, England and Australia. She was predeceased in death by her husband Robert Senft. Vera and her husband Bob were superintendents for the Purchase Street Apartments, 118 Purchase Street, Rye, NY for 10 years. She was employed by American Felt Company for 15 years as an executive secretary. She assisted Crosstown Kennel and helped raise Field Champions. Her hobbies were sailing, horseback riding, was a wizard at card playing and a pro at golf at the Rye Country Club. She had a passion for cats and dogs. Vera was also predeceased by her dear companion Frank Baker of Glenville, CT. A Memorial Service will be held at Rye Presbyterian Church on Saturday April 9, 2016 at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to Rye Presbyterian Church or the charity of your choice.
