Obituary of Anna Scerba

Anna Loretta Scerba, a resident of Arizona for the past 4 years, passed away on October 26, 2022.  Born in Bronxville, NY on November 6, 1938, Anna was the daughter of Joseph and Jenny (nee Viola) Gagliardi.  Anna graduated from Eastchester High School Class of 1956.  

Anna was an operator for AT&T for 2 years before starting her family with her husband Joseph Scerba; she resided in Rye, NY for 40 years.  She was a devoted homemaker for over 17 years raising her three children.  Later Anna was a receptionist at the Osborne Senior Living Home for over 10 years.

Anna is predeceased by her son Joseph Scerba Jr, and her brothers Angelo and Ritchie Gagliardi, Elizabeth Cassin (Gagliardi) and Vivian Qualters (Gagliardi).   She is survived by her daughter’s Pamela Scerba of Clifton Park, NY and Elizabeth Scerba of Maricopa, AZ; son in law Tim Arnold of Maricopa, AZ; grandson Joseph Arnold of Tempe, AZ; granddaughters Ashley and Samantha Arnold of Maricopa, AZ; sister Mary DelVecchio (Gagliardi) of Florida and brother Jerry Gagliardi of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the Graham Funeral Home on Friday November 4, 2022 from 4:00-7:00 PM.  A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at Resurrection Church in Rye, NY on Saturday November 5, 2022 at 10:00 AM.  Interment to follow at Greenwood Union Cemetery in Rye, NY.
