Obituary of Guy Hugo Cozzi

Guy Hugo Cozzi a resident of Rye, NY passed away on July 20, 2022 at the age of 59.  He was born in Port Chester, NY on June 18, 1963 to Hugo and Marie (nee Valente) Cozzi. Guy attended Rye High School and Canterbury School. Later he graduated from The University of California at Los Angeles where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Art History.

Guy was an energetic entrepreneur, founder and real estate investor throughout the United States and Europe. He had dual citizenship and was fluent in English, Italian, Spanish, and Russian. He was also an author and publisher of multiple books, DVDs and software programs. Guy volunteered for many animal shelters and pet rescue organizations globally for over 20 years, a cause that was dear to his heart. 

Guy is predeceased by his father Hugo J. Cozzi and niece Diana S Cozzi. He is survived by his mother Marie Cozzi; Sister Paget C. Stanco, Brothers: Stephen, Louis, and Paul Cozzi; Brother-in-law Gary Stanco; Sisters-in- law: Susie P. Cozzi and Lisa S. Cozzi; Nieces and Nephews: Christian and Paget Grace Stanco, Michael, Joseph, Daniel, Matthew, and Kathleen Cozzi; and many additional family members and friends.

Guy will be greatly missed for his relentless passion and drive and for his quirky humor and big heart.

A Mass of Catholic burial will be celebrated on Thursday July 28, 2022 at 10:00 AM at the Church of the Resurrection in Rye, NY.  The Mass will be livestreamed for those who are unable to attend in person.  To view the livestream, please click here.
