Obituary of Timothy J. Malin

Please share a memory of Timothy to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Timothy J. Malin passed away on February 9, 2022. Born in Queens, NY, on February 13, 1946,  he was the son of John  and Ann Landers Malin. A graduate of Holy Cross High School Class of 1963, University of Notre Dame Class of 1967, and Fordham Law School Class of 1970. Mr. Malin was a practicing attorney at the firm of Simpson Thatcher for over 35 years.

He married the former Jane McGlinchey on July 25, 1976. Together they raised their two children. They resided in Rye for 20 years, Purchase for 10 years and most recently in Greenwich for 10 years.

Tim was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather. And although his passion for the rollercoaster that is Fighting Irish Football may have ultimately shaved a few years off his life, he would tell you that being able to share his love of Notre Dame and inspire that same passion in his wife, children and grandchildren was completely worth it.

Tim is survived by his wife of 46 years, Jane, his two sons Tim and Brian, a brother John and a sister Sheelia, daughters-in-law Genevieve and Laura and his three grandchildren: Brian (7), Sean (5) and Dennis (3).

The family will receive friends on Friday, February 11, at the Graham Funeral Home from 4 to 7 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday February 12, at the Church of the Resurrection at 10 AM.
