Obituary of James F. Doetsch Jr.

After a long struggle with Alzheimer's James F Doetsch, Jr passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Monday, Aug. 30, 2021.  Jim was born in Bronxville, NY on March 21, 1931 to James F. Doetsch and Cecil Connors Doetsch, both of whom have predeceased him..  He was a graduate of Berkshire School in Sheffield, MA  and earned his degree in Economics at the University of Virginia after which he enjoyed a career in Finance and proudly served his country in the U S Army during the Korean Conflict.

He is survived by his wife Barbara A Wheelan, to whom he had been married 60 years, son James F Doetsch, III, daughter-in-law Julie  Doetsch, two beloved grandsons Connor William and John Jay, and his brother Richard Lee Doetsch along with many nieces and nephews.    

Family will receive visitors at Graham Funeral Home 1036 Boston Post Rd., Rye NY 10580. Wednesday September 8, 2021 from 4:00pm - 7:00pm

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Paul Church, 84 Sherwood Ave, Greenwich, CT 06831 on Thursday, Sept 9, 2021 at 10:30am.  Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Port Chester/Rye Brook EMS, 417 Ellendale  Ave, Port Chester, NY 10573 or Alzheimer's Association, 2900 Westchester Ave, Suite 306, Purchase, NY 10577.
