Tina Scovotti, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away on Friday, September 16, 2016 at her home in Rye, surrounded by her family. She was 92 years old. She was born on June 30, 1924 in The Bronx to Oreste and Lena Giammichele. She was predeceased by her husband, Anthony C. Scovotti in 1980 with whom she had three children who survive her, Anthony (Gaby) of New York City, Chris (Linda) of Eastchester and Donna Smith (George) of Rye. She was blessed with nine Grandchildren and nine Great Grandchildren. Tina is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Barbara, of Bronxville and her sister, Agnes Rotuna of Placentia, California. Tina attended Hunter High School and graduated from Hunter College. She was an elementary school teacher prior to starting her family. In later years, she was a volunteer for several organizations including Red Cross of Westchester and St. Vincent's Hospital in Harrison. Tina and her husband raised their children in The Bronx before moving to Eastchester in 1977. In 2011 Tina moved to The Osborn in Rye, New York. Tina had a lifelong love of learning. She also enjoyed traveling and was an accomplished artist, but what she cherished most was the time spent with her family. Those who knew Tina were blessed with her generosity, kindness and love. She will be missed by many. Family will receive friends at the Graham Funeral Home Rye, NY on Monday September 19th from 4-8PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Church of the Resurrection on Tuesday at 10 AM.
