Obituary of Marie Errigo

Marie Errigo, a resident of Rye, NY for 61 years passed away on April 18, 2021.  Born in Port Chester , NY on December 8, 1928, she was the daughter of Zygmont and Josephine Gorski.  Marie graduated from Port Chester High School. She was married to late Dean F. Errigo on May 17,1953 and together they raised their four children.

Marie was an avid golfer and member of the Rye Golf Club for many years, an enthusiastic hiker at the Marshlands, Edith Reed Sanctuary and the Rye Playland boardwalk, figure skated well into her 80’s.   She was an inspiration and shared all of her interests with her children and grandchildren who will cherish the memories for a lifetime.

Marie is predeceased by her husband Dean and their daughter Nancy Horton.  She is survived by her children; Janis Garner from Ruth, CA, Susan Morrera from Patterson, NY, and Dean Errigo from North White Plains, NY; brother Zygmont Gorski from Port Chester, NY;  and three grandchildren: Michelle Morrera from Carmel, NY, Elizabeth Errigo from Macungie, PA, and Victoria Errigo from Miami, FL.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday April 22, 2021, at the Church of the Resurrection at 10:00 AM.  The Mass will be live-streamed for those who are unable to attend in person.  To view the livestream, please click here.  Interment to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery on Rye Brook, NY.

In lieu of flowers a memorial donation may be made to the American Heart Association.
