Although I haven't seen Michael in many years , I will always remember his kindness and sense of humor that was very real and genuine. Having met him at high school wrestling events and then again at St John's Pharmacy school a few years later we shared many laughs. My condolences to the family. Michael Bartels

Dearest Regina,
Carl and I send you our sincere condolences for the loss of Michael. I have known you both since Chris met the two of you.
It's been a joy to know the two of you. I will never forget the Thanksgiving we spent with you and Michael and your girls when three turkeys were consumed. Michael always lit up a room with his wit and humor and most importantly his generosity. You and he were always there for Chris and his family and they are so important to them in their lives as well, as you must know. The service at Reseurection was beautiful and we were so gald that we could watch it virtually.
Please know that we are here for you and the girls and we will come to see you in the next week as things quiet down for you. In the meantime, know that we love you and will always have Michael in our hearts. Death doesn't mean the person is truly gone. I carry Marc in my heart (and head) every day and you will do the same with Michael.
Sending you all of our love,
Jane (a.ka. Quinson/Leventhal) and Carl (Valentine)

Condolences to the Paganelli family. I knew Mike from RC boat racing.
The man was a tough competitor, but had a heart of gold once you got to know him. Mike beamed with pride when his daughters Ava and Nina beat the guys on the RC racing pond ! The 1st time I met him, he took the time to help this novice get a boat running right. I appreciated all the tips and tricks he shared with me over the years. This guy was hilarious, and had so many funny stories to tell in that New York accent. I will miss you my friend!

All of us in the boat racing community will miss Mike especially at the races with him and his daughters Ava and Nina.
So many fond memories and stories. Searching for photos to attach they continually revealed either his intensity or fun loving spirit. Mike was always ready to share a laugh or help anyone who asked. His time spent sharing his hobby with his family and friends and his passion for competition will never be forgotten. I did find one picture that captured his loving spirit with his daughters, it was taken at one of the Michigan Cup races not too many years ago, the girls look so young, but how time flies.
Mike was always a great friend and we had many fun battles on the water at races all over the country..... None better than when our children raced each other as we cheered them on.
Looking back we are so glad to have shared in his 50th Birthday celebration on that cold snowy night in New York.
All these fond memories will be kept and treasured forever.
Rest in Peace my friend, and prayers to your family to help them get through this sad loss.
Sincerely, Ken, Veronica, & Fede Haines
