I am a nephew of “Ginny”. She had a way of making people feel like they were the most fun and important person in the room. Her love for my uncle Joe (my mom’s brother) was breathtaking to see. I will cherish her memory forever. Rest well.

I am so sorry to read this obituary. I am Joe's niece and have kept up with Ginny through the years. We always had a long phone chat after Christmas. When I tried to reach her this year I was very worried. Ginny was a very special woman - elegant, fun and the kindest person one could ever know. She loved Uncle Joe and took such good care of him. My husband and I took her to lunch in Rye a few years ago and she was such a delight to be with. I am sorry I missed her memorial mass but know that you and your extended family are in my prayers at this sad time. Bess Mulvihill

My parents and I were neighbors at 216 Purchase Street for over 20 years. I will never forget Ginny's laughter and elegant appearance even when she was out just on the patio in front of her living room. She and Joe were so welcoming when my parents moved to Rye and we were deeply saddened by Joe's accident and illness. Ginny's care of him and those drives she made to the hospital were something I will never forget. I used to commute into and from NYC on the same trains with her, too, and she always had a smile and a greeting, even at the end of a long day. I kept in touch with Ginny after my parents' respective deaths, and we would lunch at Gus's in Mamaroneck which she and Joe, and my parents, all liked over the years. I have moved away from Rye but I had lunch with Ginny and two other friends from there, again, at Gus's, about a year ago. We had hoped to meet for another lunch but the pandemic ensued. I am so sorry that I will not see her again; she was a smiling, laughing, encouraging force - a role model for all times.

Mr. and Mrs. George Beck and family,
I am very sorry to hear about "Aunt Ginny's" passing. I wish you strength and peace while you grieve for your sister and aunt. The smile on "Aunt Ginny's" face in this obituary photo warms my heart. It reminds me of the smiles that I last saw on your faces at Carey and Charlie's goodbye to DC party in McLean a few years ago. May your memories of Ginny fill you with laughter and love and provide you comfort during this time.
Love,
Susan Brady Mejia
