Obituary of Grace Alice Revella

Grace A. Frost Revella passed away peacefully November 29, 2020 at the age of 97. Grace was born in Port Chester, N.Y. to the late August and Alice Tartaglia Frost. Grace grew up in Port Chester with her seven siblings and graduated from Port Chester High School. During WWII, Grace worked at Russell, Burdsall, and Ward Nut & Bolt Factory. This was just one of the U.S. companies supporting the War efforts with their products. After the War, a friend introduced Grace to Andrew Revella. Grace could readily recall their first date, bowling. She even remembered her bowling score of 61. Andrew and Grace were married in 1949. Grace was much loved and adored by Andrew. Who, every morning before he left for work, would prepare her a cup of tea with a love note. Andrew and Grace were life-long members of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Byram, Ct. Grace was a spirited woman and always spoke her mind. She was a voracious reader and an accomplished knitter. For many years, Grace knit hats for newborn babies at United Hospital in Port Chester, N.Y. Grace enjoyed walking. She took pride in her ability to accomplish errands on foot. Her walks to Byram Shore Beach were always happy times. Countless summer days at the beach were shared with her close group of girlfriends. Grace was pre-deceased by her husband, Andrew and her brothers and sisters: August 'Gus' Frost Jr., Edna McNally, Lester Frost, Helen Hurta, Florence Darula, George Frost, and Elizabeth 'Betty' Conner. Grace is survived by several nieces and nephews as well as grandnieces and grandnephews. Grace will be laid to rest, next to Andrew, at Greenwood Union Cemetery, Rye, N.Y. A graveside service conducted by Pastor Evan Scamman of St. Paul Lutheran Church will be announced for a later date.
