Mr. Eduardo Roman Sr. of Port Chester, NY died on 24 November 2020 after being diagnosed with Dementia back in Feb. 2020. He was 78. Eduardo was born on September 25, 1942, to Clodomiro Roman and Leonora Estremera in Esperanza, Puerto Rico. The second child of two boys, he and his family immigrated to New York when he was 5. At an early age he worked in his father’s grocery store and delivered food to clients all over the Eastside of Manhattan. In 1968, Eduardo lived with Maria Lopez who had two daughters from a prior marriage, Rita and Abby. Shortly after they met, they had a son, Eduardo Roman Jr. He then started working for the Rye Psychiatric Hospital where he worked for 30 years as a Dietician in the kitchen and where he retired in 2010. Eduardo separated from Maria in 1977 and in 1983 met his wife Natividad Martinez, who had 6 kids from a prior marriage. Eduardo was a very proud Puerto Rican and made frequent trips to Puerto Rico to spend time on the island to visit his family and friends. He also loved spending time with his family and friends cooking out, listening to music and dancing. Eduardo is survived by his wife and family members, Natividad, Eduardo Jr. (Mariely), Abby Keen (Dwight), Rita Lopez, Willie (Adrianna), Kiki (Pacheco), Sue, Ben, and Joel (Monet). He is also survived by his 15 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren and preceded in death by his son Luis Martinez and brother Gabriel Roman. A viewing will take place November 27, 2020 at Graham Funeral Home, 1036 Boston Post Road, Rye, NY 10580. Visitors are invited to come between 4-8pm.
