Obituary of Justine Cole Casiraghi

Justine Cole Casiraghi, a resident of Rye, NY for over 50 years, passed away on June 25, 2020 at the age of 83. Justine was born in Manhattan, NY on May 29, 1937. She was the daughter of Charles and Norine Cole (nee Burke). Justine graduated from Eastchester High School in 1955 and later attended Alfred College in Alfred, NY where she studied the natural sciences. Justine last worked at Sun Royal Insurance Company where she was a Litigation Specialist. She retired in 2003. Throughout her life Justine had many interests and passions. She was a proud participant in PFLAG and other LGBT causes. She loved bird watching and was a Friend of the Edith Read Wildlife Sanctuary which she loved to visit. Some of her other interests included reading, figure skating and doting on her sons and especially her grand children. Justine is predeceased by her late husband and her son Kevin Casiraghi. She is survived by her partner of 45 years, Dominic Caparrotta; her 2 sons: Chris Casiraghi of Wilton, CT and Peter Casiraghi of Oakland, CA; her sister Beth Sarsfield of Danbury, CT; 3 grand daughters of Wilton, CT: Isabel, Lilly, and Charlotte Casiraghi; her niece Kathy Colavito of Brookfield, CT; 2 great nephews Patrick Colavito of Huntington, NY and Frank Colavito of Boston MA; and great niece Candice Fawley of Haddonfield, NJ. Funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers a donation can be made in Justine’s name to the American Heart Association, www.heart.org.
