Please share a memory of Peter to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Peter Evan Freilich, 51, a resident of Rye, New York, passed away peacefully on June 23, 2020, after a brief and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Born on October 31, 1968, he was the son of Richard and Lucille (Lops) Freilich. He was raised in Scarsdale, New York and graduated from Scarsdale High School in 1986. He went on to graduate from Villanova University with an accounting degree and shortly thereafter attained a law degree from The University of Akron School of Law. His professional career began in 1996 at KPMG LLP in New York City where he met the love of his life Melissa Cafaro. Married on August 7, 1998, in New York City, they went on to raise a beautiful family together. His wife and children meant everything to him. Outside of Peter's love for his family, everyone knew that his love for basketball was paramount. His knowledge of the game and desire to share his passion with others was extraordinary. For everyone that he impacted on the basketball court, they will forever know that Coach Peter is right there with them. Peter is survived by his devoted wife Melissa, son Tyler, daughters Madison, Hannah, and Katherine, mother Lucille, sister Julianne Manolakakis (Nick), his nieces and nephew, and many others that he held very close to his heart. He is predeceased by his father Richard. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to pancan.org or calvaryhospital.org in his memory. Resurrection Church will livestream the mass.
