Obituary of Guy Crane Elmore

Guy Crane Elmore, 73, of Rye, died the evening of June 28, 2016 peacefully in his home. He is survived by his wife Meredith A. McConnell Elmore, his brother Wayne W. Elmore, his daughter Lynne Elmore Phy, his two granddaughters Christiane Catherine Phy and Kelley Meredith Phy. He was predeceased by his daughter Christiane Marie Elmore. He was a life long resident of Rye, the son of Olive Crane Elmore and William Elmore. He was educated in the Rye Public Schools and later graduated from Mitchel College. Guy Elmore served as a sergeant in the US National Guard. He also was a volunteer fireman and served as Fire Chief in the Rye Fire Department. He retired from Byram Hills School District as Supervisor of Transportation. Family will receive friends at the Graham Funeral Home in Rye, NY on Thursday, June 30th from 4:00-8:00 PM. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at the Church of the Resurrection on Friday July 1st at 10:00 AM.
