Obituary of Irmgard Buxeder

Irmgard (Irmi) Buxeder passed on 12/26/19. She was born on February 1,1926 in Aichach, Germany to Theodore & Katharina (Sitzman) Muhlberger. Irmi was married to George Buxeder who predeceased her on 12/27/80. She moved to America in 1964. Irmi co-owned Baskin-Robins in Rye for many years with her sister Hilda Chapderlane who predeceased her in 2012. For the last 30 years Irmi worked as a waitress at Poppy's Cafe in Rye. She retired at the age of 90 but you could find her there on Friday afternoons still chopping vegetables at the back table. She loved to be around people and was also an avid bowler up until she was 88yrs old. Irmi loved playing bingo, cards and going to the softball games. Irmi was predeceased by her son Rolf Buxeder in 2017. She is survived by her grandchildren: Sandra Berardi (George) of Mamaroneck, Ralph Buxeder (Vesna) of New Rochelle, Anthony DiNobile (Kirstin) of Arizona and John DiNobile of Delaware; daughter in law Joanne Buxeder of Rye, niece Gerri Piovesan (Bobby) of Rye And nephew Robert Chapderlane (Sharon) of Rye, and many great nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the Graham Funeral Home in Rye, NY on Monday December 30, 2019 from 6-9 PM.
