Mary Anna Connor Scanlon passed away peacefully at her home on November 20,2019 embraced by her loving family.  Mary Anna, a Westchester County native, was born on December 27, 1930, the daughter of Edwin and Mary Connor.   She grew up in Mamaroneck and was a resident and active member of the Harrison community for nearly 50 years.  Mary Anna was blessed with a large circle of close family, dear friends and many social and community activities.  She lived her life to the fullest.

A graduate of The Ursuline School and the College of New Rochelle, she was a devoted wife and mother, gracious hostess, generous friend, avid golfer and bridge player.  Mary Anna was a member of Westchester Country Club and Winged Foot Golf Club.  Her many volunteer activities included serving as a long-term volunteer at Twig of Harrison and at Saint Vincent’s Hospital as a member of the auxiliary since 1978.   She dedicated her life to her family, friends and faith.

Mary Anna was predeceased by the love of her life, her husband of 66 years, Donald Patrick Scanlon; their son, Don Jr, and granddaughter, Maggie.  She is survived by her brother, Edwin I. Connor Jr. (Susie).;  her daughter, Colleen; sons, Michael (Alison), Eddie (Betty), and Luke (Stephanie); daughter-in-law, Daria; eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; her beloved nephews, George Scanlon and Mark Connor;  and many other nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the Graham Funeral Home in Rye, NY on Sunday November 24, 2019 from 4:00-8:00 PM.  A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Gregory the Great Church in Harrison, NY on Monday November 25, 2019 at 11:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Calvary Hospice or Guiding Eyes for the Blind.
