Eric and I were on the same duty crew at NTB Fire and Rescue. We would all eat dinner together and in our down time we would play cards or board games. I was engaged at that time, and Eric helped me plan my wedding. He was such an incredible person...we always cracked each other up. I am so sorry to hear that his life ended so soon. I consider myself lucky to have known this fine man. -Sharon Braswell James

I got to know and work with Eric and met his parents when they first came to Sunset Beach North Carolina. Eric would always come into my real estate office on Queen Anne Street with a smile on his face and talk at length with Wilson and myself. Sharing stories about Iona College, his trips to Barcelona, what was happening in New York, his loving parents and family, how he loved his trips to the beach and his Uber driver adventures in Myrtle Beach. He was a leader, friend and President of the Seaside Village Homeowners Association. He always had a positive attitude despite health issues, he was a fighter and admired his medical teams. Eric will be missed by everyone, but never forgotten. Rest in peace my friend.

I was proud to be Eric's colleague at Iona where his passion for teaching and his care and concern for his students were truly inspiring. He will be sorely missed.

Eric Moscato is a terrific example of someone who put service to others first in all that he did. I feel so incredibly lucky to have had the privilege of having him as an instructor. The amount of energy, enthusiasm, and genuine care for his students he showed both inside and outside the classroom should serve as a model for educators everywhere. He touched so many young people during his years as a teacher, and pushed them to be the very best version of themselves that they can be. Eric Moscato gave all that he could and never asked for anything in return, and for that, I feel so blessed to have known him. Rest in peace, Professor. Thank you for all that you've done for me and so many other students.

Eric was a great friend and a mentor to me. I will always remember fondly our conversations about college basketball, the current state of higher education, or which spot had the best tapas in Barcelona, among other things. I was fortunate enough to have spent parts of three summers in Catalonia, Spain with him where I observed up close his love of travel, teaching, and exploration and have included some photos below. Rest in peace my friend. I will miss you.
