Obituary of Paul Hingston Walsh

Paul Hingston Walsh, a Rye resident for 29 years, passed away on September 27, 2019.  Born in Yonkers, NY, he was the son of William A. Walsh and Clara (nee Hingston) Walsh.

After graduating from Iona Prep School in New Rochelle, Class of 1943, Paul went on to Villanova University, earning his Bachelor of Science degree, Class of 1947, and his  Mechanical Engineering degree, Class of 1948.

Paul held senior executive sales positions for several electronics companies that produced the  precursors of the modern computer chip.  In 1970 Paul formed his own independent sales company, representing numerous electronics firms throughout the Northeast.

On May 5, 1951, Paul married the woman who would be his life partner for 68 years, Patricia Morrisey.   Together they raised four children in Larchmont.  Patricia predeceased him on September 4, 2019.

Paul was an avid golfer and sailor at Westchester Country Club, and a passionate NY Giants football fan.   Patricia and Paul were also longtime subscribers to the New York City Ballet and the New York Philharmonic. 

Paul is survived by his four children: Jeffrey Walsh and wife Mary Ellen of Rowayton, CT, and three daughters:  Barbara Walsh Vigliotti and her husband Al of Phoenixville, PA; Fernanda Walsh Jarasek of Pottersville, NJ, and Meggan Walsh Wos and husband Konrad of New York City, and five grandchildren:  Ehren, Taylor, Dylan, Carson and Katy.  

The family will receive friends at the Graham Funeral Home in Rye on Thursday, October 3, from 9 AM to 10:30 AM.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Church of the Resurrection in Rye on Thursday at 11 AM.  Interment will follow at Greenwood Union Cemetery in Rye.
