Grace C. Mangano, long time resident of Mt. Vernon, NY, died on March 8, 2016, in Scottsdale, AZ, at the age of 91. She was loved by all and is now reunited with her beloved late husband, Anthony, and survived by her children, Carol Ann Messecar (Ray), Loretta Mangano, Thomas Mangano (Clare), Virginia Kravitz (Jess) and her grandchildren, Brigid, Mary Grace, and Annie Mangano, and Natasha and Olivia Nathan. Grace graduated cum laude from the College of New Rochelle, received a scholarship to the University of Havana, and a Master of Arts from Columbia University. Upon graduation she was a teacher at Anne Hutchinson School in Eastchester and later taught religious education at St. Ursula in Mt. Vernon. Grace influenced many with her sweet spirit, strong faith, love of family, genuine kindness and interest in others, and natural teaching ability, not to mention her delicious cooking and baking. Her family will receive visitors at Graham Funeral Home in Rye, NY, Friday from 7-9pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Church of the Resurrection on Saturday at 10am.
