Obituary of Patricia M. Walsh

Patricia Morrisey Walsh, a 29-year resident of Rye, passed away on September 4, 2019. Born in Bronxville, NY, she was the daughter of James T. Morrisey and Fernanda (nee Ehrenfels) Morrisey.  

After graduating from The Ursuline School in New Rochelle in 1946, she went on to the College of New Rochelle, Class of 1950, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in business. 
 

On May 5, 1951, she married the man who would be her life partner for 68 years, Paul H. Walsh.  Together they raised four children in Larchmont.  

Patricia was an active member of the Junior League of Larchmont, and was greatly involved with fundraising efforts for United Hospital in Port Chester.  She was passionate about volunteerism as well.

Patricia’s interests also included sports as she was an avid golfer and tennis player well into her 80s and a crack bridge player.  Patricia and Paul were also longtime subscribers to the New York City Ballet and the New York Philharmonic. 

Patricia is survived by her husband, Paul and their four children: Jeffrey Walsh and wife Mary Ellen of Rowayton, CT, and three daughters:  Barbara Walsh Vigliotti and her husband Al of Phoenixville, PA; Fernanda Walsh Jarasek of Pottersville, NJ and Meggan Walsh Wos and husband Konrad of New York City and five grandchildren:  Ehren, Taylor, Dylan, Carson and Katy.  
 

The family will receive friends at the Graham Funeral Home in Rye on Saturday, September 7th from 2 PM to 5 PM.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Church of the Resurrection on Monday, September 9th at 10 AM.  Interment to follow at Greenwood Union Cemetery Rye.
