Michael Cunningham, 81, of Rye died Sunday May 22, 2016 at White Plains Hospital Center.
Born on December 26, 1934 in County Meath, Ireland. Michael immigrated to America in 1957 and immediately enlisted in the US Army as Staff Sergeant and served in Berlin until 1962. Upon discharge from the Army, Michael moved to Queens, New York and served as a New York City Firefighter from 1965 to 1976. Michael eventually moved to Rye where he has been a resident for the past 35 years.
He leaves behind his loving wife Ina Cunningham and his sons, Brian & Paul Cunningham, his daughter Celine Rossi, his brother Anthony Cunningham, sister Helen Peerse, nephew John Cunningham, his three (3) grandchildren and many other cousins, nephews and nieces residing both in America and Ireland.
Visitation services are scheduled for Tuesday, May 24, 2016 from 2 to 4 PM and 7 to 9 PM at Graham Funeral Home, 1036 Boston Post Road, Rye, NY. A funeral mass is scheduled for Wednesday, May 25th at Church of The Resurrection at 10 AM, 910 Boston Post Road, Rye, NY.
