Obituary of William E. Donohue

William E. Donohue, a former resident of Scarsdale, died peacefully at Greenwich Hospital on October 21 at age 95.

Mr. Donohue was born on July 5, 1923 in New York City. He graduated from Fordham Prep in 1941, and then went on to receive degrees from Fordham University and Columbia Business School.  Mr. Donohue served for two years in the United States Army in the European Theater of World War II, including the Battle of the Bulge.  He retired to Spring Lake, N.J. in 1995, and also maintained a residence in Rye, NY.

Mr. Donohue is survived by his wife, Eileen Daly Donohue, his children Clare Coyne and her husband Michael of Fairfield, CT; Nancy Brady and her husband Thomas of Scarsdale; William Donohue and his wife Joan of Garden City, NY, as well as eight grandchildren, Annemarie, William and Matthew Donohue; Thomas, Jack and George Brady; and Stephen and Theresa Coyne.

A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, November 3 at 10 am, at the Church of the Resurrection in Rye, NY.
