Mary E. Lalla of Rye, NY passed away on July 30, 2018 at the age of 89. Born in Port Chester, NY on January 3, 1929, the daughter of Ernest Schofield and Edna Ehlenberger Schofield. After graduating from Port Chester High School, she met her husband of 60 years, Bartholomew Lalla, the owner of Purchase Street Taxi. He predeceased her on February 14, 2008. Together they raised their two daughters Susan Boyce of Mays Landing, NJ and Darlene Lalla of Harrison, NY. She is survived by her daughters, one granddaughter Jessica Averbach and a great grandchild Ryan Stickle. The family will gather for a graveside service at Greenwood Union Cemetery in Rye on Saturday August 4, 2018 at 10:45 AM.
