Catherine Moran Malloy of Harrison, NY passed away on June 30, 2018. Born on May 3,1934 in Staten Island to the late Justin and Catherine Moran she graduated from Notre Dame High School and attended Rosemont College. It was there at the tea house that she met her beloved husband of 64 yrs, John N Malloy. They were married on September 12, 1953. After settling in Staten Island Cathy and Jack eventually moved to Harrison with her growing family. Here she enjoyed playing golf and tennis with her wide circle of friends.

 

She is survived by her 7 children, John P Malloy (Patrice), Michael Malloy (Gail), Peter, Thomas, Catherine Hanretty, Robert and Stephen Malloy. One son, Christopher, a daughter Justine and son in law, Peter Hanretty predeceased her. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Colleen Malloy Vollmayer (Daniel), Tara Malloy Curley (Kieran), Justine and Christopher Hanretty, Jessica Malloy and five great grandchildren, Jackson and Charles Vollmayer, Jacob, Cheyenne and Lily Malloy.Her two loving sisters, Julie Hall (John), Justine Fletcher (Stephen) along with many nieces and nephews also survive her. A sister Ann Marie Rees also predeceased her. 

 

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on July 11, 2018 at Resurrection Church in Rye, NY at 10:00 AM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Catherine’s memory to Burke Rehabilitation Hospital, 785 Mamaroneck Ave, White Plains, NY, or The Osborn Pavilion, 101 Theall Road, Rye, NY.
