Eleanor Jean Simpson, resident of Dennisport, MA formally of Rye, NY, passed away peacefully on December 27, 2017. Eleanor was born in Port Chester, NY on April 16, 1937 to Frank and Nellie Wood.
Eleanor worked for Bass River Optometrics in Orleans, MA for over 34 years. In 1955, she married Richard D. Simpson and together raised their two children. They were married for 55 years.
Eleanor is predeceased by her husband Richard. She is survived by her children Jeffrey (Christie) and Tammy Simpson; 5 grandchildren: Sara Rohinsky, Brian and Jayden Simpson, Kasey and Gillian Cuddy and great granddaughter Kate Rohinsky.
The family will receive friends at the Graham Funeral Home in Rye, NY on Saturday December 30, 2017 from 4:00-8:00 PM.
