Obituary of Elizabeth R. Ferris

 Elizabeth R. Ferris “Betty”, (nee Rose) passed peacefully on June 22 at the age of 93.  Betty grew up and lived in Rye and Mamaroneck her entire life.  She is survived by her sister Mary Lou Jurs and her two nieces Patricia Jurs and Deborah Jurs.  She was predeceased by husband, Leander Ferris, Jr. and three brothers Jack, Michael and Daniel Rose.

 Betty was a bookkeeper for many years at Charles Librett & Co in New Rochelle.  She also had a career in Real Estate, held a GRI and worked for Ann Pastor and at Weichert Realty in Rye.  Betty was an active volunteer for Meals on Wheels and well-loved not only by her family, but many little kids in the 50’s and 60’s at Rye Colony who used to stop by her door and knock for lollypops.  Betty enjoyed boating on Long Island Sound with her husband Lee, her family, friends and her dogs. 

 The family will receive friends at 11 AM on Monday June 26, 2017 at the Graham FuneralHome in Rye, NY.  A graveside service will immediately follow at Greenwood Union Cemetery in Rye.
