Obituary of Eileen Jordan McLaughlin Treacy

Eileen Jordan McLaughlin Treacy peacefully passed on April 7th in her 95th year. Daughter of Lucy and Michael Jordan, she grew up in the Clason Point section of the Bronx. Wife of the late James A. McLaughlin then the late James J. Treacy. Mother of Denise McLaughlin (Arthur Kirsch) of New Canaan, CT, James A. McLaughlin (Elizabeth) of Point Pleasant, NJ, the late Daniel McLaughlin, Stephen McLaughlin (Donna) of White Plains, NY, Kelly Michael (late Dennis Michael) of Basking Ridge, NJ and Mary Pat Sexton (Gerald) of Ridgefield, CT. Step-Mother of Richard Treacy (Kathleen) of North Massapequa, NY, Robert Treacy of the Bronx and the late Jane Chester. Mom was loved and adored by 19 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren and many beloved nieces and nephews. Eileen was originally a parishioner of Holy Cross Church in the Bronx, and the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Scarsdale and then Our Lady of Fatima Church also in Scarsdale for 44 years. She was a member of the Coveleigh Club in Rye, NY for over 50 years. She is predeceased by her 9 siblings including Patrick, Catherine, May, John, Frank, Margaret, Rita, Tommy and Billy. Eileen was a Real Estate broker with Raymond Beatty in Scarsdale for over 30 years and an enthusiastic bridge player. She was an active grandmother who celebrated her Irish heritage and enjoyed many life-long friendships. The family will receive friends at the Graham Funeral Home on Monday, April 10th 2:00-4:00pm and 7:00-9:00pm and a Mass will be celebrated at the Church of the Resurrection on Tuesday, April 11th at 11:00am. Interment will be private.
